Petit points out that Arsenal must strengthen their midfield and forwards.

Former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Petit believes his old club must add more midfielders. And a forward if they are to challenge Manchester City for the title football.

Last season, the Gunners made further progress in their pursuit of the title until the final day of the season, but fell short again. This season, the team is determined to achieve success by signing David Raya permanently. And securing Riccardo Calafiori to strengthen the defense. สมัคร UFABET

Petit believes Mikel Arteta should consider adding more attacking players. Including in midfield to strengthen his squad for this season’s title challenge.

“This position (midfield) is one area they should improve, the team should improve their forwards as well, maybe bring in an attacking midfielder, maybe a winger who can compete and help turn things around for the team,” Petit told BetVictor.

“When you play every three days, it’s tough physically and mentally. We saw some players fatigue towards the end of the season. This is something Arsenal need to improve if they want to compete with City.”

“Jorginho and Partey are still in the team. Both can play as holding midfielders. I don’t want Declan Rice to play there. I think the No.8 position suits him best.”

“The most important thing, I’m not sure if it’s the holding midfield position because with Partey and Jorginho, they need to add one or two more players to the midfield. The team needs to bring in people with potential to be in the first 11.”
