Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti was pleased with the three points but did not forget to address the finishing that wasted chances.
Los Blancos beat Celta Vigo 2-1 in La Liga on Saturday, leaving them level on 24 points with Barcelona, having played one more game.
The Italian appeared irked at certain points during the second period in Vigo but he insisted the quality in his team will always give them hope of victory.
“When they (Celta Vigo) equalised, I think the players I brought on gave us new energy. It was a very important win,” the Italian said.
“We scored two great goals, we have such quality, the team trained well during the break (international fixtures), improved their physicality and now we have to keep going.”
When ask about the goal-scoring situation, Ancelotti agree, insisting it was an area his team need to improve.
“Of course we need to improve ยูฟ่าเบท on that. We lacked balance, but in the second half we paid a little bit more attention to that. We should have avoided conceding goals.”
Up next for Ancelotti’s team is a UEFA Champions League home clash with Borussia Dortmund on October 22 before hosting rivals Barcelona in the first El Clasico of 2024/25 in Madrid four days later.
